Candace Frost Counseling

Who We Are

Hi! I’m Candace.

I grew up in Las Vegas in a big, blended family. Following high school, I went to college with hopes of being on Broadway one day. After spending freshman year in voice and dance classes, I realized singing and dancing were not my real passion: humans were. With some nudging from my parents and some awesome professors, I realized I wanted to become a therapist. I switched my major, and put all my efforts into that dream.

Upon finishing my undergraduate degree, I moved to Washington state to pursue my master’s degree in Couples and Family Counseling at Gonzaga University. During my time in Washington, I worked at an inpatient treatment facility for teens dealing with high suicidality, self-harming behaviors, and psychosis. I learned quickly how much I LOVE working with adolescents and young people, and how much we have to learn from them. It was also during this time that I realized how much work can be done to prevent crises before they come.

I am a Mom to a small human and 3 dogs who I may or may not be obsessed with. I recently decided to move back to Las Vegas to be closer to family, but provide services in both NV and WA state.
